Leeds taught Westbrom master-class football in a 5-0 victory

Leeds romped to their second win in three days, putting West Brom to the sword 5-0 at The Hawthorns.

The game got off to a strange start when Romaine Sawyers scored a bizarre own goal. The former Brentford midfielder attempted a back pass to Sam Johnstone, without realising that the Baggies goalkeeper was not between the sticks and therefore unable to prevent the ball nestling in the back of the net.

Leeds then doubled their advantage on the half hour mark when Ezgjan Alioski arrowed a left-footed strike in off the post. The visitors went on to add two more before the break. First, Jack Harrison drove into the area, before playing a neat one-two with Patrick Bamford and smashing home. Rodrigo’s strike – which took a wicked deflection off Dara O’Shea – then made it 4-0.

After the break West Brom managed to stem the tide until the 71st minute when Raphinha cut inside and curled an unstoppable effort into the top corner.
