Police rescues six from kidnappers in Osun

The Osun State Police Command has rescued six persons kidnapped along Ila road and arrested two suspected kidnappers.

Newsmen gathered that the six persons were kidnapped while travelling along Ila road.

The six persons were rescued from kidnappers at Ilesa axis while some of the kidnappers escaped.

It was gathered that the police in conjunction with some local hunters who are members of the Hunters Group of Nigeria (HGN) teamed up in the rescue operation.

It was reported that the kidnappers were negotiating for ransom before the rescue.

The Commissioner of Police in the State, Olawale Olokede, confirmed this to newsmen in Osogbo, the state capital.

He said police rescued the six persons from the kidnappers at Ilesa axis, adding that the command is on the trail of the escaped kidnappers.
