China plans to hand out $1.5 million in a digital currency test during the Lunar New Year

China’s capital city will hand out about $1.5 million in a limited trial of the central bank’s digital currency, the municipal government announced over the weekend. That marks the third major test of the digital currency under development by the People’s Bank of China. The cities of Shenzhen and Suzhou held similar experiments in the last few months.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in China, 90 companies have submitted the application for the formation of the National Integrated Circuit Standardization Technical Committee. The secretariat is planned to be established in the China Electronics Standardization Institute.

HARMONYOS IS NOT A COPY OF ANDROID AND IOS – Huawei

Huawei’s operating system HongmengOS for China and HarmonyOS for the rest of the world is not a copy of either Android or iOS. One of Huawei’s top managers, Wang Chenglu, president of Huawei’s consumer software division, spoke about this in a speech to reporters. HarmonyOS for smartphones is being considered as an alternative to Android. Earlier, there were information on the network that the first release of HarmonyOS 2.0 for smartphones will be based on Android.
