In 2019, the total number of terrorism deaths in Nigeria fell to its lowest in eight years, but the country remains the third most-affected by terrorism across the world, only behind Afghanistan and Iraq, according to the 2020 Global Terrorism Index (GTI) report.

Nigeria has dropped lower in the latest ranking of countries according to Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index. According to the report, the West African country slipped from its previous 136th position in 2015 (when President Muhammadu Buhari was first inaugurated) to now occupy 146th position out of 180 countries.
After loosing one game and drawing another against Algeria and Tunisia respectively, Nigeria has dropped to 32nd on FIFA global ranking and 4th in Africa rankings behind likes of Senegal, Tunisia and Algeria.
