The launch of “Lagos Ride” to rival Uber & Bolt as 1,000 new SUV cars are unleashed.

The governor unveiled the scheme on Thursday, March 4, 2021 when he signed a partnership agreement with CIG Motors Company Limited. The service will pilot with a fleet of 1,000 units of brand new Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) and will fully take off within the next six months.

Lagos consumes half of all animals produced in Nigeria.

Half of all animal produced in Nigeria is consumed in Lagos alone, the state government has said. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State disclosed this at the commissioning of the new semi-mechanized abattoir for cows and goats under the Public-Private Partnership in Bariga, made known that Lagos State has about 16 abattoirs out of which eleven are owned by the state government.

Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday, said his administration is resolved to sending a draft Executive Bill to the State House of Assembly for the repeal of the Public Office Holder (Payment of Pension Law) in respect of former governors and deputy governors, with the aim of keeping costs of governance low and to signal selflessness in public service.
